Before Your Appointment

Minimize Allergy Concerns

Individuals exposed to a known allergen prior to their appointment, i.e., seasonal allergy or pet allergy being the most common, may be more likely to experience an allergic reaction to the eyelash extension adhesive. It is recommended that you consider taking an oral and/or ophthalmic (eye) antihistamine prior to your appointment.

Avoid Caffeine/Stimulants

Caffeine and stimulants may put you in an agitated state, preventing you from becoming still and relaxed during your appointment. Refrain from consuming caffeine and stimulants before your appointment.

Remove All Eye Makeup

Avoid wearing eye makeup to your eyelash appointment. Remove mascara, eyeliner, and other eye makeup before hand. Although the lash stylist will have eye cleanser on hand, removing eye makeup can be time-consuming and take away from your lash extension application time. Also, avoid curling your lashes and come with your lashes in their natural state.

Avoid Moisture On Eyes

Do not apply face creams or sunblock in the eye area. The oil found in many moisturizers prevents eyelash adhesive from bonding to the natural eyelash and reduces the longevity of your eyelash extensions

Remove Your Contact Lenses

As a safety precaution you will be required to remove your lenses before the lashes are applied. A contact lens case and solution will be provided if you do not have any. Wearing contact lenses while getting lash extensions is a safety issue and may be uncomfortable. After the lashes are applied, you can put your contact lenses back in, or if more convenient, just wear glasses to your appointment.

Complete the Client Intake Forms

First and foremost, expect to undergo a consultation with Tanesha to determine whether you are a good candidate for eyelash extensions.

Prior to your appointment, you will be presented with a several forms online; the Client Evaluation Form for Lash Extensions, which includes the consent, health history, & waiver of liability, the Policy Form, and you will be provided with the After Care Instructions. It is essential that you fill out the Client Evaluation Form truthfully, so any preexisting conditions can be taken into consideration. Certain illnesses, injuries, medications, allergies, and hormone imbalances or fluctuations might not make you a good candidate for the procedure, in that you may be prone to premature eyelash loss. Tanesha will thoroughly go over your answers and discuss with you your suitability for the application.

Signing the Consent for Eyelash Procedure Form indicates that you acknowledge awareness of any risks involved, waive all liability, and permit the use of any pictures taken before, during and after the procedure. Additionally, list of all your allergies, including allergies to adhesives, band aids, or tape in general.

*Please note that if you are under the age of 18, a parent/ guardian must complete the Client Intake & Consent Form for you.
